Organic Wheat Trial

In our organic wheat trial in central valley California, Pacific Gro is helping the farm overcome challenges with high sodium soil.

Trial structure:  5 test blocks, 4 acres each. All 5 blocks use poultry litter as the core fertility input; 4 of the blocks also have Pacific Gro, and 2 of these also include biologicals, from SGS, Tainio and Humagro.

The block with only poultry litter shows nutrient deficiency that is yield limiting.

The other 4 areas are healthier, but there are still nutrient deficiencies due to the high amount of sodium in the soils.  Leaf samples were sent to Apical labs for sap analysis
